For people that need a good weight / fat loss method, the bad news is that no system is perfect. However good programs are certainly out there that can make a real and beneficial difference, as many dietitians and indeed – doctors will tell you.
Don’t kid yourself – being overweight or obese definitely harms lives immensely as it lowers self-esteem. It also increases health risks and reduces most of a person’s physical abilities…
Personal commitment is the most important element in achieving good weight fat loss results. This is no different for people using a weight loss system than it is for anything people try to achieve in life. Your motives for losing weight are paramount in deciding how successful you will be. If you are losing weight because you want to be healthy and have a long and happy life then this is good, and you are very likely to succeed. However if you are trying to trying to achieve weight / fat loss to please someone else – then you’re probably going to fail.
Many people forget that a number of factors must be included in any weight fat loss program, from the amount of physical activity involved down to the type of food eaten, the amount of food, when, and even how often.
Don’t be too ambitious and set yourself impossible tasks like losing 30 pounds in less than a month. This would not be sensible because it could have a vast impact on the entire body bringing about other health problems like anemia, heartburn or worse. In addition weight loss which is too swift and dramatic could have negative effect on ones mental well-being.
Keep it simple, consider that a pound in weight is generally believed to be 3,500 calories and then it’s easy to break this down into daily reductions of 500 calories. This means you can lose a pound in weight each week. Also remember that increasing your amount of exercise is just as important as what you’re going to be eating If you haven’t exercised much or at all before don’t forget to consult with your doctor before commencing any program.
On the subject of exercising to achieve weight / fat loss – contrary to popular opinion there is plenty of gain – without pain. I mean you don’t need to exercise so hard that it hurts. You should just exercise at the level you find comfortable – but regularly. As your fitness increases so – naturally will your level of physical activity and you will lose weight providing you’re eating sensibly
Too many people are consuming large amounts of unhealthy food because they enjoy eating it – which is not good. However there is no need to force-feed yourself things that you hate either just to lose weight. Small and infrequent amounts of the food you really enjoy – but isn’t particularly good for you – as part of a generally healthy diet will not harm you. As long as you’re burning off the calories through exercise and eating well in the main – then you will achieve good weight / fat loss.
A common emotional reaction to stress and problems for many people is to simply start – pigging out – when they feel depressed or insecure. The food – if one can call it that – they tend to consume at such low times tend to be the villains of the piece – i.e. items such as biscuits, crisps, sweets and too much chocolate.
Excess weight or fat loss can be attained with many slimming programs available today. However a person must be prepared to change at least some of the harmful habits they have formed. It should be clear by now that the psychological aspects relating to ones weight / fat loss have to be addressed. Dieting on its own can never be the complete answer. Studies have shown that people who have started weight loss programs with confidence and determination are more likely to accomplish the desired results.
One thing that has been shown time and time again to be true no matter what you do in life is that being positive about something is more likely to make it happen. Trying to lose Weight is no different. Weight / fat loss is proven to provide us with more energy and allows us to carry out tasks that those extra pounds do not permit. Generally this can only lead to improved self confidence and life chances.
